Cruncyroll has announced that they are airing the anime series Arknights: Prelude to Dawn with the first episode available to watch on the site.

Arknights: Prelude to Dawn is set to run for 8 episodes with each episode to air every Sunday at 10:00 a.m (UTC-7).

The anime’s is created by Hypergryph and Studio Montagne and is directed by Yuki Watanabe along with Yostar Pictures. The opening theme song for the anime is “Alive” sung by ReoNa while the ending song is “Running in The Dark” sung by Monkey Majik.

Arknights follows Rhodes Island in the ruined world, Terra, ridden by Oripathy, an incurable disease that slowly crystalizes their body while also granting them great power. The people that are diagnosed with these diseases are dubbed the Infected, discriminated and oppressed by the general masses in fear of them and it is Rhodes Island duty to help these Infected.

However, amongst these Infected, a rebelling faction has risen called Reunion Movement and they have sworn to take action against the whole world for their mistreatment.
