During the Primetime livesteam event for Gamescom Asia 2022, a gameplay trailer for Toge Production’s Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly was shown off, showcasing some new and familiar faces.

As the name would suggest, Coffee Talk Episode 2 is the sequel to the original Coffee Talk game where you work as a barista in a coffee shop as you serve up all sorts of beverages ranging from different tastes and ingredients to the customers who show up in your establishment.

From the new gameplay trailer, we can see some familiar faces like Lua the Succubus as well as Officer Jorji making a return to the sequel. Not only that, but it also looks like the wide arrangement of drinks that you’re able to serve is being expanded with brand new ingredients, so players will be able to expect new combinations of ingredients which will make up new drinks for this game.

A new mechanic was also shown off in the trailer where it seems that players can now give items to the customers which presumably ties in with the story of Coffee Talk but not much information was shown regarding that.

Coffee Talk is known for its soothing gameplay as well as for its relaxing lo-fi esque soundtrack, mixed in with interesting cast of characters that you meet throughout the game.

There are currently no updates as to when Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly will be released, but players are able to wishlist the game as well as try out a demo over on Steam.
