The THQ Nordic Digital Showcase has revealed new updates for Haemimont Games‘ Tactical RPG Jagged Alliance 3 including a new trailer.

The game takes place in the fictional country of Grand Chien, a region trapped in deep political unrest. A paramilitary force known as “The Legion” seized control of the countryside. To counter this, the President’s family hires the Adonis Corporation to put together a team of skilled mercenaries to find the president and bring order back to the country.

The game features a huge cast of different mercenaries with various different backstories, personalities, and quirks. You can go out into Grand Chien to earn money, grow your team and decide the fate of the country. You can also choose not to follow your contract of course.

Listed features you can find in Jagged Alliance 3 include:

• Engage in rich, tactical turn-based combat
• Recruit from a large cast of unique mercenaries, including many familiar fan favorites
• Loot, salvage, and customize an arsenal of weaponry and equipment
• Choose from a wide array of special perks to customize your mercs as they level up
• Decide the fate of Grand Chien in an open RPG structure
• Control territory, train the locals, command multiple parties, and defend against enemy forces in an alive, active world
• Experience the campaign with friends in online co-op mode

The game is a follow-up to the 1999 release Jagged Alliance 2 for PC which was praised for its storytelling and world detail. Hopefully, Jagged Alliance 3 will continue this legacy over 20 years later.

Jagged Alliance 3 will be released for PC via Steam. The title currently does not have a confirmed release date.
