Since its release in Asia Pacific on 7 July, Diablo Immortal has earned USD 2 million from mobile users, according to data from AppMagic.

Note that the game released in other Asia Pacific countries such as Japan, South Korea and Australia prior to 7 July. As such, the data only takes into account the countries which recently had access to the game on 7 July.

In terms of revenue, Taiwan leads the pack of Asia Pacific countries, contributing USD 742,369, followed by Hong Kong (USD 428,040), Singapore (USD 172,221), Malaysia (USD 172,221) and Thailand (USD 171,601).

Even though Thailand had the most number of downloads at 249,032, the country also has the lowest average revenue per user (ARPU) at USD 0.71. Despite its low player count, Singaporean players spend the most on average at USD 8.66.

Even though Diablo Immortal has yet to release in China, the new Asia Pacific countries contributed to around 14% of the game’s worldwide revenue of USD 14 million. The game’s launch in China has been postponed indefinitely without a release date in sight.

Diablo Immortal has been marred with controversy due to its predatory microtransactions. Despite the negative backlash, it seems that the game is shaping up to be a commercial success for Blizzard, with the game ranking high on the Play Store and App Store for many countries.
