Final Fantasy Record Keeper has announced the end of service for its global release. The announcement is quite sudden, when socials were still pretty active up to an hour prior to the shut down notice.

We regret to announce we have made the difficult decision to discontinue the FINAL FANTASY Record Keeper game service as of 5:00 PM 9/29 PST (1:00 AM 9/30 UTC).

We are incredibly thankful to have enjoyed the support of so many of you over the almost seven and a half years since the game launched on March 25, 2015.

We make this announcement with a heavy heart, but hope you will be left with fond memories of adventure once this journey comes to an end.

The in-game announcement states that in-app purchases will cease as of 30 August 2022, 17:00 PST. Following the end of service announcement, the Final Fantasy Record Keeper Global Facebook page is redirecting players to Brave Exvius, as part of a welcome message from the latter game.

To all the dedicated players who have enjoyed and loved FINAL FANTASY RECORD KEEPER, a title that is a true embodiment of the classic world of FINAL FANTASY, the FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS Team would like to extend a warm welcome.

To note, the game had been banned in Belgium due to its anti-gambling laws, though this alone wouldn’t have caused the game to entirely shutter. Should you be interested in Record Keeper, stay tuned for what events they will have until it goes offline.
