Disney Mirrorverse recently launched globally, and after some testing, we’ve compiled this tier list based on how each Guardian performs. Note that this tier list takes into account the latest patch (update 1.0.1) of Disney Mirrorverse.
Like most tier lists, the ranking of the characters is based on how they fare in the endgame. As such, on top of abilities, a character’s traits will also play a big role, since they’ll dictate their viability in Towers.
SS Tier
Mr. Incredible
Role: Tank | Traits: Tall, Leader, Lawful, Short Fuse, Pixar
On paper, he’s your tank. In practice, Mr. Incredible’s your tank AND your DPS. Immune to Knockback, hits incredible hard while also being ridiculously beefy makes this Guardian the gold standard for any melee and tank unit in the game.
Jack Skellington
Role: Support | Traits: Tall, Scary, Royalty, Leader
No other unit in the game can buff your team’s ATK and lower your enemies’ DEF as much as Jack Skellington. This lanky skeleton stands tall in this Disney Mirrorverse tier list simply due to how he can trivialise a lot of the content in the game. To top it off, he’s great at healing and purging enemy buffs.
S Tier
Maui
Role: Tank | Traits: Tall, Seafaring, Shapeshifting, Fiery
For when you absolutely need a damage sponge, Maui is your man. His entire kit is focused on only 2 things—increasing his DEF and giving some of it to your teammates. He may be lacking in the damage department, but no one plays the role of a traditional tank better than Maui.
Minnie Mouse
Role: Melee | Traits: Short, Fiery, Hi-Tech
Minnie Mouse has been reworked from being one of the worst to being one of the best melee units in the game. Like Ariel, she can give herself ridiculous stacking ATK buffs. While she may not possess as much utility as Ariel, she can also buff her DEF, granting her much-needed survivability as a melee DPS.
Hiro Hamada
Role: Support | Traits: Medium, Hi-Tech, Gravity Defying, Book Smart, Leader
Hiro’s kit relies on being Connected to his allies, making buffs more potent while also increasing survivability. He synergises even further with fellow Hi-Tech allies, increasing their healing and armor effective more than regular allies.
Ariel
Role: Melee | Traits: Medium, Seafaring, Royalty, Gravity Defying, Blade Wielder
The Little Mermaid is also one of the biggest damage dealers in the game, thanks to how much her self-ATK buffs can stack. On top of being a good source of DMG debuff cleansing, she has a really strong Special Ability. Despite her nerf, she still deserves to be in S tier thanks to being the go-to melee choice for Seafaring and Royalty Towers.
Zurg
Role: Ranged | Traits: Tall, Hi-Tech, Gravity Defying, Villainous, Pixar
Zurg is surprisingly tanky for a ranged unit. Despite not having as much sources of ATK bonuses compared to other Guardians, he makes up for it with his insane rate of fire from his Heavy Attack, which also serves as a consistent source of critical hits. Also, his Signature Ability is a simple but potentially tide-changing source of CC.
Mickey Mouse
Role: Support | Traits: Short, Leader, Gravity Defying
The poster child of Disney is also one of the best support Guardians in this Mirrorverse tier list, due to how well he works with just about anyone. As long as your team is spamming their Special Abilities, Mickey will reflect damage, buff them, heal them, and stun enemies with remarkable consistency.
A Tier
Scrooge McDuck
Role: Support | Traits: Short, Fortune Seeker, Hi-Tech, Leader
The richest character in all of fiction is the friend of all ranged units in the game. No one else on this Disney Mirroverse tier list buffs focus as much as Scrooge, synergising extremely well with characters with on-critical hit effects.
Woody
Role: Melee | Traits: Tall, Lawful, Leader, Pixar
Woody won’t be doing the most DPS, but he will make your entire team do a lot more damage. When his Signature Ability activates, it’s really easy to give your team a tremendous ATK buff and also heal them as much as support units.
Tron
Role: Ranged | Traits: Medium, Hi-Tech
Tron’s quite possibly the best character in the game for hitting multiple enemies thanks to his ricochet and Special Ability. On top of that, he fits really well into a lot of different compositions as his Special Ability becomes even better with more sources of attribute debuffs.
Evil Queen
Role: Support | Traits: Medium, Villanous, Book Smart, Royalty
Evil Queen plays heavily around her ability to poison her enemies. Her Talents make poison even more dangerous, granting extremely debilitating debuffs when they’re poisoned. An excellent choice for taking out bosses.
Baymax
Role: Tank | Traits: Tall, Hi-Tech, Book Smart
Baymax is a walking AoE DEF buff and source of Armor to his allies. Keep your friends close (and enemies even closer to stun them) and Baymax does a solid job of keeping your team healthy.
Scar
Role: Melee | Traits: Medium, Villainous, Stealthy, Shapeshifting, Royalty
This melee Guardian relies on stacking DoT on the enemy. While he’s potentially S tier on this list in terms of DPS, his effectiveness will drop considerably in the rare case when you’re fighting enemies who’re good at cleansing debuffs in Disney Mirroverse.
Frank Wolff
Role: Support | Traits: Tall, Stealthy, Seafaring
Frank basically has his Special Ability, Dense Foliage constantly active as its duration is longer than its cooldown, providing your team nice buffs and your enemies annoying debuffs. He’s even more effective when facing against ranged enemy units or those who rely on critical hits, thanks to how his debuffs work.
Gaston
Role: Ranged | Traits: Tall, Villainous, Short Fuse, Leader
Gaston’s kit relies on Wounding enemies, which he can consistently activate through Heavy Attacks. As long as your enemies are Wounded, Gaston is a fantastic source of damage and purging defense buffs. Even though his Talents aren’t as great, his skills make up for it.
Aladdin
Role: Melee | Traits: Medium, Stealthy, Blade Wielder, Shapeshifting
Prince Ali has specced into being an assassin, inflicting Wounds when he backstabs enemies. While his damage might not be as high as other melee units in this tier, the debuffs he can inflict like stun and causing enemies to miss should not be underestimated.
Oogie Boogie
Role: Tank | Traits: Tall, Villainous, Scary, Goofball
Oogie Boogie may not possess as much tankiness compared to other tanks, but he specialises in debuffing enemies’ ATK instead that can stack pretty significantly, which contributes to the team’s survivability overall.
Judy Hopps
Role: Ranged | Traits: Short, Hi-Tech, Lawful
Judy applies DEF debuffs on enemies whenever she crits, making her a fantastic choice to boost your team’s overall damage, on top of being able to support your team with root and stun.
Anger
Role: Melee | Traits: Short, Short Fuse, Fiery, Blade Wielder
Anger may not be suited to any of the Towers at the moment, but make no mistake—he can buff his own ATK to ungodly amounts. He’s extremely good at hitting things extremely hard, with a touch of burn on top, too.
B Tier
Snow White
Role: Melee | Traits: Medium, Royalty, Leader
Despite being classified as a melee unit, Snow White wants to become a tank. This scythe-wielding princess gains Thorns Charge every 5 seconds, granting her DEF and is also a cost spent to deal damage to enemy melee and tank units. While she is a solid unit overall, you’ll usually want a standard tank instead of this pseudo-tank.
Donald Duck
Role: Tank | Traits: Short, Seafaring, Short Fuse, Hi-Tech
Being able to switch between tank and DPS whenever you use his Special Ability makes Donald something of a one-man team, since he lacks any supportive capabilities whatsoever. On the plus side, he is viable in two different Towers (Seafaring and Hi-Tech) at least.
Goofy
Role: Ranged | Traits: Tall, Goofball, Hi-Tech
By stacking ricochets from inflicting critical hits, Goofy can unleash potentially monstrous damage with his Special Ability, on top of stunning them. His Talents can also further add good effects to his critical hits, like wounds or purge.
Rapunzel
Role: Melee | Traits: Medium, Royalty, Goofball
The wielder of the frying pan specialises in burst DPS, dealing incredible damage with her Special Ability. She may not be able to achieve the consistency of the other melee units ranked above her in the tier list, but she’s still a dependable damage dealer overall.
Tiana
Role: Support | Traits: Medium, Royalty, Fortune Seeker, Shapeshifting
Tiana fits the role of a traditional healer to a T. She’s an amazing healer who’s also reliable at removing debuffs. She can even throw in a bit of burn to enemies, too.
Ursula
Role: Tank | Traits: Tall, Villainous, Seafaring, Gravity Defying
Ursula is extremely effective at tanking against a single target. The problem is that enemies tanks usually face more than one enemy, which means that you pretty much need a dedicated healer to stop Ursula from sinking to her death.
Buzz Lightyear
Role: Ranged | Traits: Medium, Hi-Tech, Gravity Defying, Leader, Pixar
Buzz Lightyear’s niche is melting enemies’ armour away. Besides that, he also deals respectable DoT through the shock debuff he can easily inflict.
Mulan
Role: Melee | Traits: Medium, Blade Wielder
Mulan’s kit is pretty alright. She has a high damaging Special Ability and is pretty survivable. While there’s nothing too amazing about her skills, her basic attacks hit in a pretty wide arc, which is pretty useful.
Sulley
Role: Tank | Traits: Tall, Hi-Tech, Scary, Leader, Pixar
Sulley’s a great source of knockback thanks to his Special Ability. His armor is what makes him viable as a tank. Now, if only his Special Ability gave 100% instead of 50% stun…
Jack Sparrow
Role: Support | Traits: Medium, Seafaring, Goofball, Fortune Seeker, Leader
Everyone’s favourite pirate is a pretty situational healer, capable of healing for incredible amounts but requiring stacks of Curse Charges in order to achieve that. He may lack the consistency and utility of Tiana, but he makes up for it by being viable for both Seafaring and Leader Towers.
Maleficent
Role: Ranged | Traits: Tall, Villanous, Leader, Shapeshifting, Fiery
Maleficent has one of the highest damage multi-target Special Abilities in the game (when you factor in the burn), making her a great DPS unit. She also offers a little bit of DEF debuff and has pretty powerful Talents.
Genie
Role: Tank | Traits: Tall, Goofball, Shapeshifting, Gravity Defying
Genie is a lot more viable after the recent patch. His Core Ability makes him briefly unkillable 3 times during each fight while also having a huge, 4-second stun each time it activates. On top of the survivability he offers to the team from his Core Ability, the only thing preventing Genie from climbing higher into this Disney Mirrorverse tier list is his poor Traits.
C Tier
Stitch
Role: Melee | Traits: Short, Goofball, Shapeshifting, Hi-Tech
Stitch’s play style requires him to rotate between his various transformations, causing him to be pretty gimmicky and inconsistent with his damage.
EVE
Role: Ranged | Traits: Short, Hi-Tech, Short Fuse, Gravity Defying, Pixar
EVE is what happens when a ranged unit tries to be a tank. Her kit relies on her getting hit by melee or tank enemies, which is not ideal. Without any good source of buffs or damage for her attacks, EVE is in a weird spot.
Baloo
Role: Tank | Traits: Tall, Goofball, Blade Wielder, Fortune Seeker
Despite his buffs making him better now, Baloo’s Core Ability is a bit too random to activate and be effective. You’re still better off with just about any other tank in the game
Anna
Role: Melee | Traits: Medium, Blade Wielder, Royalty, Goofball, Fiery
Anna is all about stacking elemental sources of DoT against the enemy. While this sounds good on paper, it takes too long for the damage to build up.
Hades
Role: Ranged | Traits: Tall, Villainous, Fiery, Short Fuse, Goofball, Leader
A good chunk of Hades’s damage comes from burn. His Special Ability can potentially deal immense damage as it’ll be activated again if an enemy dies. Beyond that, he’s still pretty situational overall.
Belle
Role: Support | Trait: Medium, Book Smart, Royalty
Belle’s about as one-trick pony as you can get with a support unit. She’s pretty alright as a healer, but that’s it.
Elsa
Role: Ranged | Traits: Medium, Royalty
This ice queen is sadly not as impactful as her movie counterpart. Her Core Ability activates a bit too slowly while her Special Ability simply lacks the potency that a lot of other Special Abilities have.
Hercules
Role: Melee | Traits: Tall, Blade Wielder, Gravity Defying
Hercules simply takes too long to build up his damage as a melee unit. Combined with the restrictiveness of his Core Ability and mediocrity of his Special and Signature Ability, Herc is pretty lacking.
Mike Wazowski
Role: Support | Traits: Medium, Hi-Tech, Goofball, Pixar
Mike is a pretty lacklustre healer. While his heal can be activated with good frequency thanks to its low cooldown, it’s a pretty weak heal and quite restrictive overall. Mike’s not a good choice in extended fights as he’s one of the worst healers in clutch situations.
Merida
Role: Ranged | Traits: Medium, Royalty, Pixar
Sorry Brave fans, but Merida’s perhaps the most basic ranged unit you can get. She simply lacks the utility, damage, or self-buffing capabilities that every other ranged unit has.
D Tier
Captain Hook
Role: Melee | Traits: Tall, Villainous, Blade Wielder, Short Fuse, Seafaring, Leader
Melee units in Disney Mirrorverse are mainly needed to deal damage. Captain Hook does noticeably worse in this department. Couple that with a lack of survivability, and this pirate is not a good choice for his role.
Ian Lightfoot
Role: Support | Traits: Tall, Book Smart, Pixar
With a weak heal and a rather gimmicky way to buff his team, Ian simply doesn’t have the consistency and impact to help his team as much as most of the other supports in the game.
Tinker Bell
Role: Ranged | Traits: Short, Short Fuse, Gravity Defying, Fiery
Tinker Bell is somewhat passable as a damage dealer while her Special Ability is active, but is bad without it, which is about half the time during a fight.
