Mobius Final Fantasy has come a long way with huge updates and major events and one of them is Final Fantasy X and X-2! This time, the story of Tidus will be retold, making an appearance along side with our beloved Warrior of Light. Square Enix is full of wonderful ideas and this time they have kicked off this special collaboration with a trailer entitled “Dream Within a Dream.”

Fans of the Final Fantasy X: Eternal Calm will probably remember the cinematic cutscenes sequel to the Final Fantasy X and the prequel to Final Fantasy X-2. From what we knew in Eternal Calm, it was shown that someone resembling Tidus was jailed in Bevelle. In this Dream Within a Dream collaboration event, we will see Tidus’s side of his story of what he was up to between FFX and FFX-2. 

Director of Mobius Final Fantasy, Motomu Toriyama along with producer Yoshinori Kitase had the core cast of developers from the original FFX to work on the game. Daisuke Watanabe, the lead scenario writer of FFX is also part of the team, so fans shouldn’t worry too much on the story being ruined.

Sadly for the global players, the collaboration event will be commencing in Japan first. As usual, the events and content that are released in Japan will be released a couple of months later to global. So as understanding as fans could be, good things come to those who wait. Cheers!
