Pokemon Legends Arceus Daybreak Update Launches Today

Game Freak has announced a free update for Pokemon Legends Arceus titled Daybreak, which adds new content to the open world Pokemon game.

The update launches today, so you’ll be able to update your game and check out some of the new features and quests in the game for yourself.

From the short preview, the Daybreak update for Pokemon Legends Arceus features a new story event, which sees more Pokemon Outbreaks happening in the game’s world.

These include outbreaks of Alpha Pokemon, which you will be able to catch if you’re looking to fill out your collection of Alpha Pokemon or simply looking to release them and collect Grit Dust to level up your main team’s stats.

It also features a heavily requested feature from fans- the ability to fight more of the named trainers at the Training Grounds in the village, though they didn’t explain how you’d be able to do this.

Finally, you can also redeem free Pokeballs to celebrate Pokemon day with the code ARCEUSADVENTURE. These give 30 Ultra Balls, Gigaton Balls and Jet Balls for free when redeemed.

Pokemon Legends Arceus is far from the only Pokemon game getting an update today- Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are also getting a free update, which lets players collect Shaymin.

Featured in the Sinnoh region, Pokemon Legends: Arceus is a new approach to the Pokémon video game series, promised to break new ground for the Pokémon series! This open-world RPG is coming to Nintendo Switch in early 2022. Showcased in the teaser, there will be a number of iconic monsters including Piplup. There will be a choice of starters including Rowlet, Oshawott, and Cyndaquil.
