We had the pleasure of attending MSI Malaysia’s Mini Gameverse event last week as the computer brand unveiled its newest laptops. The event took place at the Bee, Publika and we got to see the new 12th gen gaming and creator laptops from MSI. Check them out below:
In a nutshell, all of these laptops come equipped with Intel® Core i7 processors or above and NVIDIA GeForce RTX ™ 3070 or above. MSI Malaysia also showcased the latest GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GPU for the first time. Sporting 16 GB GDDR6 memory, the RTX 3080 Ti delivers a higher performance compared to Titan RTX. On top of that GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is 70% faster than RTX 2070 SUPER and can deliver 100 FPS at 1440p resolution.
In addition, the 4th generation of new Max-Q technology, alongside CPU Optimizer, Rapid Core Scaling and Battery Boost 2.0 further raises performance and battery lifespan.
If you can’t already tell, the gaming laptops MSI unveiled during the Mini Gameverse event perform notably better compared to previous models, including an increase of up to 30% – 45% CPU performance. MSI also introduced their latest innovation—Phase Change Liquid Metal Pad, a safer and more trustworthy version of regular liquid metal.
On top of that, MSI also showcased their new Creator laptops during the Mini Gameverse event. Now with the option of 17-inch display panels, the CPU performance of these laptops have improved as mush as 45% with the new Vapor Chamber Cooler. Furthermore, MSI also added additional features for content creators such as touch support for MSI Pen, True Pixel Display and a partnership with DTS for a superior audio experience.
MSI Sword 17/15 and Katana GF76/66
MSI’s Sword series brings with it a knightly persona with “Dragon Power”. Renowned concept artist Justin Goby Fields designed and brought this knight character to life. With a comfortable key travel at 1.7mm and Cooler Boost 5, both Sword and Katana series are ready to help gamers succeed.
