In this month of fasting, Sony Malaysia once again tempts gamers with the fifth batch of PS5 consoles available for pre-ordering. Those residing in Malaysia can pre-order the rare console starting from Friday, 16th April 2021, 00:01 GMT+8 onwards.

As usual, Sony Malaysia is offering both the physical and digital editions of their latest-gen console. The physical edition (the one with the ultra HD blu-ray disc drive) costs RM 2,299. The thinner and disc drive-less digital edition is cheaper with a price of RM 1,869. Regardless of which edition of the console you choose, do be aware that its accessories and peripherals are limited to one console per pre-order.

Unlike the 4th batch of PS5 pre-orders, the 5th batch pre-order in Malaysia will be conducted entirely online through Sony’s Lazada page. Remember to stay glued to your screens once midnight passes for a chance to get yourself a PS5.

Based on the pattern so far, it seems that the next batch of PS5s will be available for pre-order on 21st May 2021. This is because pre-orders for the past 2 PS5 batches were done on the 3rd Friday of the month. Note that this is merely speculation.
