2K Games has officially announced that Mafia: The Old Country will release on August 8 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and Nvidia GeForce Now. In a notable departure from the industry’s recent trend toward higher pricing, the fourth main entry in the Mafia series will launch with a $49.99 / £44.99 standard edition.
The publisher will also offer a Deluxe Edition priced at $59.99, which includes several bonus content packs. The Padrino Pack features special weapons like the Lupara Speciale Shotgun and Vendetti Speciale Pistol, along with the Padrino Outfit, Immortale Charm, Stiletto Speciale Knife, Eckhart Speciale Limousine, and Cosimo Horse with accessories. The Deluxe Edition also contains the Gatto Nero Pack with racing-themed items, plus a digital artbook and the game’s original score.
Pre-ordering either edition will reward players with the Soldato Pack, containing the Soldato Outfit, Scannaturi Speciale Knife, Tesoro Horse with accessories, and the Lupara Charm.
2K President David Ismailer explained the company’s pricing strategy: “We think there’s a large audience for compelling stories that don’t require massive time commitments. We’re excited to offer a game like Mafia: The Old Country in our portfolio, and to provide a linear highly-polished narrative experience that can easily complement the other more persistent games our players also love.”

Alongside the release date and pricing announcement, 2K unveiled a new gameplay trailer highlighting the game’s refined stealth mechanics. Hangar 13 President Nick Baynes described the title as “a focused, linear experience that combines quality storytelling, authentic era immersion and a refined take on the familiar Mafia gameplay.”
Set in early 1900s Sicily, The Old Country serves as a mafia origin story following protagonist Enzo Favara as he takes his oath and climbs the ranks in Don Torrisi’s crime family. The game promises a “gritty, grounded, brutal and emotional” narrative experience.
