Falcom has announced that Ys X: Proud Nordics will launch for PlayStation 5 on February 19, 2026 in Japan, priced at 8,580 yen. The PS5 version will run at 4K resolution with support for 120 frames per second.
Ys X: Proud Nordics serves as an expanded version of the original Ys X: Nordics. The game follows red-haired adventurer Adol and Norman warrior Karja as they become linked by magical shackles called Mana. Together, they must face the Griegr, an undead threat attacking the Obelia Gulf region.
The game originally launched for Switch 2 in Japan on July 31, 2025, before expanding to Switch 2 and PC via Steam in Asia on August 21, 2025. Publisher NIS America has confirmed plans to release the Switch 2 and PC versions in western markets in early 2026, with the PlayStation 5 version also included in that release.

Players who purchase the physical edition at launch will receive a bonus music CD titled “Ys X: Proud Nordics Complete Additional Songs Collection (Reprint),” which includes 12 new tracks from the game.
This version includes several improvements over the original release. Players can expect better graphics and quality of life updates that make the game easier to play. A new storyline set on Oland Island introduces characters Canute and Astrid, and this content has been woven into the main game rather than offered separately.
New gameplay features include the Mana Hold ability, which lets players interact with the environment in different ways. The game also adds Muspelheim, a challenging time-trial dungeon designed for players looking for tougher content.
