SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have released a new trailer for Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage, titled “Enter the World Stage.” Alongside the trailer, they confirmed an open beta test from October 1 to 6. Players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam can join, offering fans a chance to experience the new global tournament system before launch.
Entering the World Stage
The trailer emphasizes the fierce competition at the core of Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage. Players must rise through the ranks in the World Stage mode, where rivals from across the globe wait. Battles span seven booths, each presenting new challenges. Furthermore, opponents are powered by real-world player data, adding authenticity to every match.

Victory, however, is only the beginning. After conquering the World Stage, fighters can continue honing their skills. Side tournaments provide unique matchups, extra challenges, and opportunities to refine strategies. Consequently, no two runs feel the same, ensuring long-term replayability.
Key Features for a New Era
SEGA has detailed several improvements aimed at modern players. Cross-play support allows seamless battles between PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Steam communities. Additionally, rollback netcode ensures stable and responsive online play.

Meanwhile, new training tools give both veterans and newcomers fresh ways to practice and master their fighters. As a result, accessibility and competitive depth have been significantly improved.
Release Plans and Platforms
Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage launches worldwide on October 30 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Steam. Moreover, a Switch 2 version will follow later this winter. With the open beta test just around the corner, excitement is already building.

Fans eager to return to the legendary 3D fighting franchise can soon test their skills on the global stage. For more updates, follow Virtua Fighter on their official X account.
