A playable demo for Vanillaware’s upcoming tactical RPG Unicorn Overlord is now available for download for the Nintendo Switch.

As part of today’s Nintendo Direct, publisher Atlus announced that players can now download and play a demo for Unicorn Overlord on the Nintendo Switch through the Nintendo eShop.

The demo will allow players to experience the opening hours ahead of Unicorn Overlord’s launch in a couple of weeks from now.

Worth noting that Atlus also confirmed that the save data from the demo can be carried over to the full game when it launches.

This upcoming tactical RPG is from developer Vanillaware, the makers of cult favorites such as Dragon’s Crown, Odin Sphere, and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim.

The game combines overworld exploration, conquest, army management, and highly tactical combat gameplay alongside the studio’s well-known watercolour-esque visuals for fans of tactical RPGs.

Set on the continent of Fevrith, the game follows exiled prince Alain as he embarks on a journey to regain his reign and take back his kingdom from Zenoira alongside allies he met along his adventures.

Unicorn Overlord is slated to release worldwide on 8 March 2024 for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S.
