Ubisoft’s subsidiary Vantage Studios has announced a new leadership team that will oversee the long-term direction of the Assassin’s Creed brand. Three experienced Ubisoft veterans have been appointed to lead the franchise going forward.
Martin Schelling steps in as Head of Assassin’s Creed Brand, where he’ll be responsible for the overall strategy and long-term vision. Schelling is no stranger to the series, having held a leadership role on several major entries including Revelations, Black Flag, Origins, and Valhalla. He most recently served as Ubisoft’s Chief Production Officer, a role focused on improving how the company’s games are developed.
Jean Guesdo takes on the role of Head of Content for the Assassin’s Creed Brand. He’ll be guiding the creative direction of the franchise and supporting individual game development. Guesdo has deep roots in the series, with credits going back to the original 2007 game. He’s best known for his work as creative director on both Black Flag and Origins.

Francois de Billy joins as Head of Production Excellence, with a focus on strengthening how the brand’s games are made and delivered. He served as production director on both Origins and Valhalla, and is noted within Ubisoft for his ability to improve workflows and streamline complex development processes.
Guesdo and de Billy have worked together on multiple Assassin’s Creed titles over the years. Both will transition into their new roles over the coming weeks. They’ll be joining an existing leadership group that includes Andree-Anne Boisvert, who handles cross-brand initiatives and technological excellence, and Lionel Hiller, who leads brand and go-to-market strategy for the franchise. Vantage Studios described the three appointments as playing “a pivotal role in driving the Assassin’s Creed brand’s long-term vision, creative ambition, and continued growth.”
