Urban Games has officially partnered with Paradox Interactive to publish Transport Fever 3, the upcoming transport management simulation game set to release in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Originally announced in May 2025, Transport Fever 3 is the latest entry in Urban Games’ long-running transport tycoon franchise. The partnership with Paradox Interactive marks a major step forward for the series, especially given the publisher’s strong reputation for deep strategy and management-focused games.
According to both companies, the collaboration aims to strengthen the game’s development while maintaining Urban Games’ original vision for the franchise.
Paradox Interactive Sees Strong Potential In The Franchise

Urban Games founder and CEO Basil Weber described the partnership as a natural fit, explaining that both studios share similar long-term goals and player-focused development philosophies.
Weber stated that working with Paradox Interactive will allow Transport Fever 3 to reach its full potential while continuing along its existing development path. He also noted that the partnership should bring positive benefits to players as the game approaches launch in 2026.

Meanwhile, Paradox Interactive chief business officer Mattias Rengstedt praised the series, calling Transport Fever 3 a perfect addition to the company’s growing lineup of strategy and simulation titles.
Rengstedt highlighted the game’s deep systems and long-term replayability as major reasons behind the publishing partnership, adding that Paradox Interactive is excited to help bring the title to players worldwide.
Despite the collaboration, Urban Games will continue to retain the intellectual property rights to the Transport Fever franchise.
Build Massive Transport Networks Across Multiple Environments

In Transport Fever 3, players will once again design and manage large-scale transportation empires spanning railways, roads, shipping routes, and air travel networks.
The game introduces four major environments, including temperate, desert, tropical, and the newly added sub-arctic region. Each setting features unique gameplay challenges, terrain generation, and environmental conditions that affect transportation planning and city growth.

Urban Games also confirmed that the world simulation systems have been significantly upgraded. Cities, industries, and settlements will dynamically evolve based on the player’s actions, creating a more reactive and living economy.
More Than 250 Vehicles Including Helicopters

One of the biggest additions in Transport Fever 3 is its expanded vehicle roster. Players will have access to more than 250 authentic vehicles inspired by over a century of transportation history.
The lineup includes trains, buses, trucks, ships, planes, trams, and, for the first time in the series, helicopters. The addition of helicopters is expected to create entirely new transportation possibilities, especially in difficult terrain and remote environments.
As with previous entries, players will need to carefully optimize routes, manage logistics, and expand infrastructure while balancing profitability and efficiency.
Transport Fever 3 Arrives In 2026

With Urban Games now backed by Paradox Interactive’s publishing support, Transport Fever 3 appears positioned to become the biggest entry in the franchise so far.
The game is currently scheduled to launch in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. More gameplay details and updates are expected to be revealed in the coming months as development continues.
