The Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) has announced complete program details for Tokyo Game Show 2025, which opens next week at Makuhari Messe from September 25 to 28.
The show kicks off with an opening ceremony on Thursday, September 25 at 9:30 AM, featuring Chairman Haruhiro Tsujimoto and actor Kanata Hongo. This business day event will also include a keynote speech by Sony Interactive Entertainment’s President Hideaki Nishino, who will discuss the 20-year history of the PlayStation Store and its impact on digital game distribution.

Public days on Saturday and Sunday will feature several special presentations. The Anniversary Title Talk Stage on September 27 brings together producers from three major franchises celebrating milestone years: Tales of series, eFootball series, and Like a Dragon series. The show concludes on Sunday with an ending ceremony that will reveal details about next year’s 30th anniversary event.
Food and Merchandise
Game-themed food will be available throughout the event, featuring collaborations with popular titles. The lineup includes Capcom’s Pragmata Lunar Curry Rice, Konami’s Bomberman Takoyaki, Sega’s Sonic Racing: CrossWorld Cross World Dog, and Sony’s Astrobot Space Soda, among others. Food court partner Kewpie will offer free egg toppings with qualifying purchases.


Official TGS 2025 merchandise includes over 60 items designed by illustrator Zashiki Warashi and artist group ANIMAREAL. This year introduces a new collaboration line featuring T-shirts and mugs that combine game logos with the TGS 2025 branding. Five participating titles are Resident Evil, Nioh, Momotaro Dentetsu 2, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Little Nightmares 3.

Additional Features
A cosplay area will operate on public days in the outdoor space around Hall 9, with early morning changing room access starting at 7:45 AM. Registration costs 2,000 yen including changing room fees. The show has appointed three new official influencers as TGS BOOSTERZ: competitive fighting game player Kayane, Chinese content creator Nine-tailed Cat, and former esports player XYG Hanzai.
Fashion brand BEAMS will provide staff uniforms featuring the main visual design, while an International Party will take place on Friday evening for exhibitors, press, and special pass holders. The Sense of Wonder Night indie game showcase returns on Friday evening, featuring eight finalists selected from 165 entries for presentations highlighting innovative game concepts.
