Publisher Square Enix and developer Claytechworks have released the Prologue Demo for The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. Players can now try the upcoming HD-2D action RPG before its full release on June 18, 2026.

The demo is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC through Steam and Microsoft Store. In addition, players can carry their save data over to the full game once it launches.

The Prologue Demo lets players experience the opening chapter of The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. At the same time, it introduces players to the world of Philabieldia, a land filled with mysteries, dangerous areas, and hidden treasures.

Players can follow the main story or spend time exploring different locations. They can also search for new weapons and collect magicite upgrades during their adventure. As a result, the demo offers a strong preview of the game’s exploration systems and combat mechanics.

According to Square Enix, the demo delivers the same sense of freedom found in the full version of the game. However, the developers confirmed that some areas remain locked in the demo build. Furthermore, linked save data bonuses are not available until the full release.

HD-2D Visuals Continue to Stand Out

One of the game’s biggest highlights is its HD-2D presentation style. The art direction combines detailed pixel characters with modern lighting effects and large environments. Because of this, the game carries a nostalgic look while still feeling modern.

Recent trailers have also showcased fast-paced action combat, environmental exploration, and story-focused moments. Meanwhile, fans of Japanese role-playing games continue to show strong interest in the project online.

Square Enix released a brand-new trailer alongside the Prologue Demo announcement. The video gives players another look at the game’s combat systems, world design, and overall atmosphere before launch.

Full Release Set for June 2026

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales launches on June 18, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

Digital pre-orders for The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales are now available across all platforms. Players who pre-order the digital edition will receive Elliot’s Departure Pack, which includes in-game bonuses such as the Departure Brooch accessory, which boosts currency and magicite fragment drops, as well as Attack Up sword magicite.

A Digital Deluxe Edition is also available. It includes additional accessories such as the Fairy Bangle, Cherry Blossom Anklet, and Roselle Ring.

For collectors, a physical Collector’s Edition is also offered. It includes the base game, an original soundtrack, and a desk clock statue featuring Faie.

With the Prologue Demo now available, players can start exploring Philabieldia early and continue their progress in the full version next month. For fans of HD-2D adventures and action RPGs, the demo offers an early look at one of Square Enix’s upcoming 2026 releases.
