Arc System Works has announced the release date for the final character in Season 1 of Guilty Gear Strive, bringing back fan favorite character Testament.
Announced as the big reveal at the end of Arc REVO America, Testament will release for Guilty Gear Strive on March 28th for Season Pass holders, while being available on March 31st for individual purchase.
Testament sports a few major changes from their original appearance- most of which being that they appears to be to have a more feminine appearance, though it should be noted that the Arc System Works subtitles refers to Testament with They/Them pronouns.
It should be noted that while the Japanese version of the trailer sports a more feminine voice, the English dub uses a more masculine one.
Aside from that, they appear to still use the same playing style the original Testament was known for- familiar-based attacks with big hitboxes for good setups.
While Testament appears to still use their crow, it’s unknown if the character will retain their Curse mechanic from older Guilty Gear titles to continue to apply pressure.
This was far from the only big news coming out of Arc REVO, however- Arc System Works already announced Season 2 for the Guilty Gear Strive DLC, as well as that Crossplay would be coming to the PC and PS4 versions of the game along with new story content featuring all the characters not featured in the main story for Guilty Gear Strive.
