A major update is coming to Taiko No Tatsujin: Drum N Fun. The update is slated for Winter 2020, and adds a new Private Match mode.

Private matches allow you to set up online games with your friends, without worrying about strangers butting in.

These use 6-digit passwords to make sure your sessions stay truly private, and that only your friends can come in.

You can play multiple gametypes using private matches, including the game’s co-op and Battle modes. You can also tune the rules to your liking, turning on items or score blinders.

According to Bandai Namco Entertainment, these features allow you to emulate the feeling of playing with your friends at an arcade.

Taiko No Tatsujin : Drum N Fun is available for Nintendo Switch.
