Street Fighter 6 just revealed its latest addition to its roster: Arjun, a former police officer from India on the run after being framed for his partner’s murder. Arjun will be playable starting October 13 for those who own or purchase the Year 4 Character Pass or Year 4 Ultimate Pass.
One of Arjun’s strong suits is his Indomitable Defense. The character uses his unique “yogic breathing” to hyper-oxygenate his muscles, allowing him to counterattack any incoming melee strikes. During this state, he can also activate Moral Breakdown, where he throws a powerful blow with both fists to deal recoverable damage on block or normal damage on hit.
Speaking of breathing, Arjun can also create breathing rings, which he can turn into projectiles after following them up with a shockwave. He also incorporates this technique with his Level 1 Super Art, Howling Destruction, which sees him delivering a barrage of quick bursts of his powerful breathing.

Arjun’s breathing is also strong enough that he can blow into the ground to pop out a Divine Pillar, which can serve as a breakable wall to fling enemies into or as a weapon he can swing to inflict great damage. The character trailer ended with the fighter’s epic Level 3 Super Art, which saw him disrupt his opponent’s ear, leaving him seeing multiple Arjuns before delivering a cinematic attack.
Arjun features a towering frame and fights like an absolute tank, exchanging swift attacks with slow but powerful blows. With the sole intent of uncovering the truth behind his partner’s death and his unique yogic breathing, this former officer becomes a formidable force in the tournament.
Wielding a powerful array of projectiles and traps, Arjun mixes mighty breathing techniques with brutish strength to keep you on your toes with bated breath!

As for cosmetics, the new character’s first outfit depicts his fugitive nature, bearing his powerhouse frame in its glory. Meanwhile, his second costume features him in more stylish threads inspired by his Indian roots, which is apt for his prior aspirations as an actor before picking up the badge. The second outfit is unlockable with Fighter Coins or upon maxing out his Acquisition Gauge in Avatar Arcade Mode.
