More than just a traditional “likability meter,” the affection system reflects how NPCs react dynamically to your choices and behavior over time. From joyful greetings when you remember their favorite things, to subtle disappointment when you’ve been away too long, the islanders feel alive, almost like real companions.

In Starsand Island, affection is mutual.
