Starlight Re:Volver Brings Anime-Inspired Co-Op Roguelite Action to Steam Early Access

Starlight Re:Volver, the debut project from indie studio Pahdo Labs, has officially launched on Steam Early Access.

Made by former developers from Capcom, Riot Games, and WayForward, the co-op roguelite is now available at a limited-time launch price of RM47.20.

A Dreamlike Setting Across Two Worlds

The game takes place in two interconnected realms: Nishi Island Metropolis (NIM), a futuristic city, and So Mi, a surreal dreamscape filled with floating islands. Players step into the role of Divers, voyagers who wield powerful devices called Re:Volvers to shift between these two worlds.

Anime-Inspired Style and Soundtrack

Drawing inspiration from 90s–2000s anime legends like Naoko Takeuchi and Rumiko Takahashi, the game blends vibrant visuals with nostalgic manga aesthetics. The soundtrack enhances the experience further, featuring contributions from Sarah Bonito (Kero Kero Bonito), LilyPichu, Miyolophone, and more.

Gameplay and Co-Op Features

Starlight Re:Volver is designed for both solo play and 1–4 player online co-op. Alongside roguelite dungeon crawling, players can explore large multiplayer areas, engage in minigames, and customize their Diver’s look and abilities.

Combat encourages creativity through:

• Twilight Crystals, which alter the battlefield for tactical advantages.
• Magic Combos that allow players to chain abilities and break enemy defenses.
• Hundreds of ability combinations, letting players build unique strategies every run.

Instead of a fixed ending, the roguelite structure allows players to keep adventuring endlessly, testing builds and teamwork in ever-changing runs.
