Square Enix has officially revealed its lineup for Tokyo Game Show 2025, which will run from September 25 to 28 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. The company is preparing a diverse mix of demos, stage events, photo opportunities, and exclusive giveaways, offering fans both new experiences and nostalgic returns to some of its most beloved series.
Major Games Featured at TGS 2025

Among the highlights, Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake will be available to try, giving players a hands-on preview while also offering unique extras such as a complimentary Boss Quest drink and a special photo opportunity with the iconic Dragonlord. Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake will also be playable in the Family Game Park area, where attendees can take home a collectible slime sticker.
The upcoming Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles will be playable ahead of its September 30 release date, with Square Enix providing themed stickers and a photo spot designed to immerse fans in the world of Ivalice. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade makes its return with new demo sessions and a photo zone built around the Magic: The Gathering crossover collaboration.

In addition, Final Fantasy XIV Online will host a series of interactive activities, from photo opportunities with a Fat Chocobo to a mascot meet-and-greet, complete with exclusive fan giveaways tied to social media campaigns.
Newer projects are also being given the spotlight. Octopath Traveler 0 is set to receive a dedicated stage event where the development team will share behind-the-scenes insights and showcase brand-new footage. The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales will debut its Switch 2 demo, rewarding players with a special sticker for participation, while KILLER INN offers PC attendees the chance to experience its second closed beta test with access codes distributed on-site.

Square Enix’s stage schedule for Tokyo Game Show 2025 is equally packed, with a mix of livestreams and on-site presentations designed to reach fans worldwide. On September 25, the spotlight will shine on Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake, with new gameplay footage and an appearance by series creator Yuji Horii. September 27 shifts focus to Octopath Traveler 0 in a developer-led broadcast, followed by a collaborative showcase of Dragon Quest I & II featuring the cast of Critikano Hit and the development team.
The excitement continues on September 28 with a behind-the-scenes look at the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game, followed by a special Super Dragon Quest X TV broadcast showcasing gameplay content with developer commentary.
Later that day, Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles will host its own dedicated stage event with guest appearances from voice actor Shinnosuke Tachibana and members of the development staff. The day will conclude with one of the most anticipated presentations of the event, the Final Fantasy XIV Special Stage, featuring producer Naoki Yoshida and global community producer Toshio Murouchi.
