The festive season has officially arrived at Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre (LaLaport BBCC) with a special Pokémon-themed event, LaLaport Pokémon Happy Holidays, running until 4 January 2026. Fans of all ages can step into a world of Pokémon magic, where Pikachu and friends bring fun-filled activities, games, and holiday cheer to Kuala Lumpur.

The event kicked off with a warm welcome from LaLaport BBCC Operations General Manager, Hiroaki Kazume, who addressed the crowd and shared his excitement for bringing Pokémon to life in Malaysia. Adding to the festive greetings, the Pokémon Company Director of Asia Business Development, Rei Kagami, flew in from Japan to greet attendees and highlight the exclusive collaboration. Their speeches set a joyful tone for the celebrations and energised fans for the activities ahead.

Pikachu in the Spotlight
For the next five weeks, Pikachu takes centre stage at LaLaport BBCC. Every weekend, fans can meet the iconic Pokémon during special Meet-and-Greet sessions. They can also catch Pikachu roaming the mall in energetic Walkabout appearances. These moments are designed to surprise and delight visitors, creating a lively, festive atmosphere throughout the venue.
Pokémon Sticker Quest and Photo Spots
LaLaport BBCC invites shoppers to take part in a Pokémon Sticker Collection quest. Each week, eight different Pokémon stickers appear across participating stores. Visitors can collect the stickers with a minimum mall-wide spend of RM10. Completing the five-week collection allows fans to redeem a limited-edition Pokémon sticker set.
Additionally, shoppers who purchase Pokémon merchandise at the Main Atrium booths receive a postcard that lets them collect five exclusive stamps across the mall. Fans can also explore numerous Pokémon photo spots throughout LaLaport BBCC, capturing festive memories with their favourite characters.
Games, Activities and Digital Experiences
The event offers hands-on fun for all Pokémon enthusiasts. Free Pokémon Trading Card Game tutorials teach new strategies and gameplay tips. For digital fans, the Nintendo Switch 2 demo of Pokémon Legends: Z-A lets them experience the latest adventure first-hand. These activities keep visitors engaged and entertained throughout Pokémon Happy Holidays.
Holiday Shopping and Festive Highlights

LaLaport BBCC also features themed retail pop-ups with official Pokémon merchandise and other festive items. Every night, the Pokémon-themed Christmas tree at WoW Plaza lights up with dazzling visual effects exclusive to the mall.
To kick off holiday shopping, LaLaport BBCC hosts its first Black Friday Late Night Sale from 28 to 30 November. Visitors can shop until midnight for flash sales and exclusive items. Holiday shoppers spending RM500 or more can receive Pokémon merchandise, including a lanyard and cardholder, tumbler, and travel bag set.

The mall recently expanded with LaLaport ACG BASE, Mitsui Outlet Park BBCC, exclusive Japanese brands, and the family entertainment centre Molly Fantasy. With more enhancements planned for 2026, LaLaport BBCC continues to grow as a vibrant lifestyle destination.
