POCO is introducing a brand new affordable smartphone, the POCO M6, which will be available in Malaysia from June 13, 2024.

As announced, the POCO M6 is a new smartphone that combines a pro-grade 108MP camera with an FHD+ display and features a sleek glass back design.

This new smartphone by POCO features a 108MP main camera that packs a 1/1.67-inch sensor from Samsung with support of 3x lossless zoom and uses the latest 9-in-1 pixel binning for clearer photos in different light conditions. Additionally, the phone is also equipped with a dual LED ring flashlight for nighttime photography as well as HDR capabilities for vivid colors. 

This time, the phone comes with an upgraded 13MP front camera as well as an array of filters, such as filmCamera vintage filters for classically styled photographs, as well as plus filmFrame, which adds a selection of frame designs for each shot. 

Display 

For its display, the phone features a large 6.79-inch FHD+ (2460 x 1080) LCD display with 550 nits HBM and a 1500:1 contrast ratio. With the AdaptiveSync technology, POCO M6 is said to be able to intelligently adjusts the display refresh rate, peaking at a 90Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, the phone also feature a 180Hz touch sampling rate. 

Meanwhile, its wet touch technology claims to offer enhanced touch recognition and control capabilities that prevent accidental triggers from raindrops. Durability-wise, the phone features the Corning Gorilla Glass. Regarding eyecare, the M6 comes with fast DC dimming that reduces visual fatigue and is TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light-certified, Flicker Free-certified, and Circadian Friendly-certified.

In terms of specs, the M6 is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra chipset as well as the Helio G91 Ultra chipset, which includes an octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A75 cores backed by six power-efficient Cortex A55 cores, alongside the Arm Mali-G52 MC2 graphics processor.

Glass Back Design

Available in 3 color options – Black, Purple, and Silver, the POCO M6 is 8.3mm slim, offering a lightweight feel in the hand. For water resistance, the phone is IP53-certified. 

Furthermore, the phone rocks a 5,030mAh battery with 33W fast charging, while also having a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The POCO M6 will be available in Malaysia starting from June 13, 2024 and there will be 3 available color options – Black, Purple, and Silver, as well as 2 storage variant options, 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. 

It will be avaialble for purchase exclusively on official e-commerce platforms on mi.com, and official POCO stores on Shopee and Lazada.

Additionally, from June 13 to June 19, 2024, customers can enjoy an early bird pricing for RM539 for the 6GB+128GB variant and RM639 for the 8GB+256GB variant.
