Capcom and Clover Studio have officially launched a dedicated 20th anniversary website for the Okami franchise, celebrating two decades since the beloved action-adventure game first hit shelves.
The centerpiece of the website is a brand-new illustration created by Mari Shimazaki, the character designer behind the game. The artwork brings together Amaterasu and the full cast of the original title, with a red ribbon woven through the piece to symbolize the bond between the characters and the fans who have supported the series over the years. The calligraphy featured in the illustration was handled by Masumi Narita, the same person who originally designed the game’s iconic logo.

Beyond the artwork, the website includes merchandise giveaways, collaboration announcements, and personal messages from notable staff members and others connected to the franchise. Each message comes paired with its own unique illustration, giving the anniversary page a personal and creative feel throughout.
For those unfamiliar with the series, Okami originally launched on PlayStation 2 on April 20, 2006, developed by Clover Studio and published by Capcom. The game puts players in control of Amaterasu, the sun goddess, who takes the form of a white wolf on a mission to drive out a spreading darkness. The anniversary celebration also comes on the heels of a sequel to Okami confirmed last December 2024, giving longtime fans even more reason to revisit the series as it reaches this milestone.
