In the lead up to the release of Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, the latest trailer features “The One Who Attained Power”, one of three main story paths within the game. The “Hero”, Titus, is the titular “One Who Attained Power”, voiced by Rikiya Koyama.
As mentioned, “Power” is one of the three story paths within Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, with the other paths being “Wealth” and “Fame”. The next reveal should be for “Fame”, as “Wealth” was already released prior.
The mobile game retains the art style of its console counterpart, and works as a prequel to Octopath Traveler. Besides gradually teasing the main story, Square Enix also revealed the whopping sixty-four other Travelers who you will meet in the game; namely, eight from each of the eight regions in Osterra, in keeping to the numerical motif of the game. 8 of them will be in your party at any given time to embark on your journey to tackle one of the three “Masters”.
The game is currently open for pre-registrations in Japan for both Android and iOS, with no English release mentioned as of time of writing. If you can read Japanese, there’s even a manual you can peruse before the game launches 28 October 2020.
A new story unfolds in the world of Orsterra! Enjoy high quality graphics, engaging combat, and storytelling akin to OCTOPATH TRAVELER in this prequel optimized for mobile devices.
