With the release Pokemon Scarlet & Violet just over the horizon, what better way is there to set off your journey in the region of Paldea than with the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Edition of the Nintendo Switch OLED model. A big thanks to M4G for providing us with this Pokemon themed Nintendo Switch model!

Before we dive into the contents of the box, we have a clean box art of the two version exclusive Legendary Pokemon of Miraidon and Koraidon who acts as your mode of transportation in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The box also features some cute vector art of the three starters as well as an overview of the design for this OLED model.

Overview

Coming out straight from the box, I gotta say I’m already super impressed with the overall design for this Pokemon Scarlet & Violet themed design. The most notable thing that stands out immediately would be the design of the main Switch device, having a Graffiti-like motif exploding with a bunch of colourful prints.

The signature black colour of the Nintendo Switch is accompanied by the bright scarlet and violet colours of the graffiti-like sticker designs of the three main starters – Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly along with some other cool vector designs of some other Pokemon too, like Hatenna and Gogoat.

The joycons are also re-brandished with the scarlet and violet colour scheme, but with a more subtle front design. The left joycon sports a Pokemon Scarlet design with a gold logo of the Scarlet exclusive Naranja Academy emblem. Whereas the right joycon features the Pokemon Violet design with a white logo of the version exclusive Uva Academy.

Both joycons also come with a sleek white coloured Joycon strap along with the coloured straps that is accompanied with the specific joycon.

The Nintendo Switch Dock is painted with a clean coat of white that I think gives a new contrast to the scarlet and violet coloured joycons. The white Nintendo Switch Dock is topped off with a Final Fantasy-esque vector design of Miraidon and Koraidon along with a sleek border design that gives off a nice final touch.

Meanwhile left side of the back of the dock sports a neat pokeball design to finish off the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet themed Nintendo Switch OLED edition.

All in all, this Nintendo Switch OLED Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Edition gives a fresh new coat of paint over the original OLED models and I would highly recommend getting for those who are passionate in all things Pokemon.
