Xbox Game Studios, Team NINJA, and PlatinumGames have announced that the first DLC for NINJA GAIDEN 4, titled The Two Masters, will be available on March 4, 2026, priced at $14.99.
The DLC adds three new story chapters that continue Yakumo and Ryu’s campaign after the main game’s ending. Players who have finished the base game’s story will be able to access these new chapters, which feature new enemies and boss fights. Two new weapons are also coming with the expansion, Yakumo gets a scythe called “Solitaire” designed for taking on groups of enemies, while Ryu receives the “Jakotsumon” Serpent Gauntlets built for fast, close-range combat. Players who haven’t finished the main campaign yet can still access the two new weapons mid-playthrough.
A new mode called Abyssal Road is also part of the package. It’s an endurance-style challenge that puts players through 100 back-to-back combat encounters with increasing difficulty. The mode includes enemies from both the base game and the DLC, and introduces two new mechanics, the Special Blood Essence and Frenzied enemies that change up battle conditions on the fly. To unlock Abyssal Road, players need to complete The Two Masters story content first, at any difficulty level. New trials are also included and follow the same requirement.

Beyond the new content, the update will bring quality-of-life improvements, balance changes, and bug fixes. These include combat responsiveness tweaks, new weapon set customization options, and various fixes across the campaign. Players who purchased the NINJA GAIDEN 4 Deluxe Edition ($89.99) or the Deluxe Upgrade ($20) will receive The Two Masters at no additional cost. For everyone else, it will be sold separately for $14.99 starting March 4.
