After hearing a lot of feedback from players, HoYoverse has decided to rollback on fixing the charged attack for Neuvillette. His charged attack has always had an abnormal rotating speed whenever it was used. Neuvillette was released in version 4.1 as part of the first phase banner alongside Hu Tao.
Needless to say, many players are glad that the Hydro Dragon can now spin at the speed of sound again. Additionally, HoYoverse has also decided to compensate players by giving away 1600 Primogems which is akin to 10 pulls in version 4.8.
Rollback: Fix to Abnormal Rotation Speed for Neuvillette’s Charged Attack

Here’s a breakdown on how Neuvillette works:
Neuvillette is a 5-Star, Hydro catalyst wielder that is a main damage unit who relies on charge attacks. With his high scaling and passive talents, he can easily fit into many Hydro team compositions.
Passive Talents:
- Heir to the Ancient Sea’s Legacy: When a party member triggers a Vaporize, Frozen, Electro-Charged, Bloom, Hydro Swirl, or a Hydro Crystallize reaction on opponents, 1 stack of Past Draconic Glories will be granted to Neuvillete for 30s. Max 3 stacks. Will increase the DMG of Charged Attack: Equitable Judgment by 110%/130%/160%. Each Past Draconic Glories stack created by each Elemental Reaction exists independently.
- The High Arbitrator’s Discipline: For each 1% of Neuvillete’s HP over 30%, he will gain 0.6% Hydro DMG Bonus. A maximum of 30% can be obtained this way.
As you can see from one of his talents, using Neuvillette’s charged attack is an essential part of his kit. The fix was implemented as by adjusting the sensitivity or mouse DPI settings, PC players could deal an insane amount of damage. This setting would not be fair to players that used other devices to play. But after hearing feedback from players mentioning that he felt ‘clunky’ to play after the fix, HoYoverse decided to undo this and gave the community the original version of Neuvillette back along with 1600 Primogems.
While we’re on the topic of Genshin Impact, starting from version 4.8 onwards, the KFC wind glider “Wings of Delicacies” will be made available for other regions. Details on how to get it will be announced before December 2024.
