Netease Games returns this 2021 with a new edition of its Top Clans esports tournament, called Top Clans Grassroots. Top Clans Grassroots is meant to include more players who were affected by COVID-19 over a longer period of time, with more participating games for players at home this 2021.

Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam will be the first places to have the event, with players able to compete in titles such as Dota 2, Rules of Survival, Tom & Jerry: Chase, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Over 2020, Top Clans has gotten an upwards of 57 million views on their videos, featured over 80 competing teams, and five headline game titles in 2020, and will continue to include amateur teams throughout the year long competition.
