Capcom has confirmed that a large-scale expansion for Monster Hunter Wilds is in development. The company also announced that version 1.041 will launch on February 18. Capcom plans to reveal details about the expansion later this summer.
Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto shared the news in a first anniversary video message. He said the expansion will be similar in scale to Monster Hunter World: Iceborne and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. Development is already underway. Tsujimoto added that the team looks forward to sharing more information in the coming months.
Version 1.041 Update Adds New High-Difficulty Content

Version 1.041 introduces several major additions aimed at high-level players. The update adds Arch-tempered Arkveld, along with multiple new 10-star Arch-tempered Monsters. These include Rey Dau, Uth Duna, Nu Udra, and Jin Dahaad. Together, they expand the game’s endgame challenges.
The update also brings new Event Quests. Some will remain permanently available, while others will rotate for limited periods. Players can claim a Hunter Appreciation Pack once per account until March 19 to celebrate the game’s first anniversary.
First Anniversary Events Roll Out Through February and March

Capcom is celebrating the game’s first anniversary with a series of Festival of Accord events. The schedule includes Blossomdance, Flamefete, Dreamspell, and Lumenhymn. Each festival introduces themed quests and rewards over several weeks.
Additional anniversary Event Quests will appear during this period. Some will only be available for a limited time. Others will remain accessible throughout the season. A free Challenge Quest featuring Arch-tempered Arkveld will launch later as a limited-time event.
Monster Hunter Stories 3 Collaboration and New Features

The update also includes a collaboration with Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection. This crossover adds a new side mission, a new 10-star difficulty tier, and high-difficulty optional quests tied to the event.
Players will receive one free Character Edit Voucher and one free Palico Edit Voucher. The update also adds weapon and pendant designs selected from an official design contest. In addition, Capcom has added Latin American Spanish as a new voice language option.
Continued Support and What’s Next
Capcom released a new version 1.041 trailer alongside first anniversary messages from Tsujimoto in both English and Japanese. The videos highlight upcoming content and reaffirm the studio’s long-term support plans.
