Konami Digital Entertainment Limited (KONAMI) has officially launched “FOX HUNT”, a new online multiplayer mode for METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER. It is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. The update introduces tactical “hide-and-seek” gameplay in the jungle, combining stealth and survival elements that define the METAL GEAR experience.
Step Into the Hunt
Players now take on the role of operatives from the elite “FOX” unit. They must survive and outwit rival soldiers in fast-paced online missions. Up to 12 players can battle across two distinctive game modes which are Survival Capture and Survival Intrude.
In Survival Capture, players compete to find and secure the elusive Kerotan frogs hidden across the map. As matches progress, their numbers dwindle, leading to intense firefights and narrow escapes.
Meanwhile, Survival Intrude focuses on stealth and precision. Operatives must complete objectives within shrinking zones, forcing them to adapt quickly as space becomes limited. Positioning, timing, and teamwork become essential to victory.
Tactical Tools of the Trade
Each operative is equipped with an AT-CAMO suit, allowing instant camouflage pattern changes to match the terrain. Additionally, players can use Naked Sense, a unique detection ability that highlights nearby enemies and valuable items. These features work together to deepen the strategy, ensuring every encounter feels unpredictable and tense.
