Lego Pokémon is set to make a big debut next year, and early reports claim one of the first sets could rank among the largest Lego builds ever. The Pokémon Company and The Lego Group are preparing three launch sets, including one that may cost $649.99 with 6,838 pieces. If confirmed, this would make it the seventh largest Lego set in history.
A New Era for Pokémon and Lego

For years, Mattel’s Mega brand produced all Pokémon-themed building block sets in the West. That changed in March when The Pokémon Company and Lego announced an official partnership. As a result, fans can now expect the first wave of Lego Pokémon sets in 2026. Reports also suggest the lineup will mainly target adult collectors, giving it a more premium feel.
The First Three Sets
According to the report, the first wave of Lego Pokémon sets will launch with three builds aimed at different collector tiers. The smallest set includes 587 pieces priced at $59.99 (RM270). Meanwhile, a mid-tier option features 2,050 pieces at $199.99 (RM890).

The biggest highlight, however, is the giant Pokémon build containing 6,838 pieces priced at $649.99 (RM2,890). This massive set stands out as one of the largest and most expensive Lego creations to date, aimed at dedicated collectors.
A Place in Lego History
If these details prove accurate, the huge Pokémon build will secure a spot in Lego’s history books. It would sit just below the Millennium Falcon at 7,541 pieces and above the AT-AT with 6,785 pieces. The top five spots remain filled by icons like the World Map, Eiffel Tower, Titanic, Colosseum, and Death Star. With so many legendary builds already on the list, the Pokémon set would mark a major milestone for the franchise.

The same report also point to a March 1, 2026 release date for the three Pokémon sets. Lego Insiders will reportedly get early access starting February 27. Furthermore, the Lego site may offer a free Pokémon-themed “gift with purchase” bonus for fans who meet specific spending requirements. On the same day, Insiders should also see a Nintendo-related reward set added for 2,500 reward points.
Continuing Lego’s Nintendo Legacy

Lego’s relationship with Nintendo continues to expand, and Pokémon now takes center stage in that journey. The partnership began with the Lego NES in 2020, a fan favorite priced at $229.99. Since then, Lego has released builds inspired by Mario, Donkey Kong, Animal Crossing, The Legend of Zelda, and Mario Kart. With Pokémon joining in 2026, the collaboration shows no signs of slowing down.
