Kyoto Xanadu Set for July 16 Launch in Japan and Asia Across Multiple Platforms

Falcom has announced that Kyoto Xanadu will launch in Japan and Asia on July 16 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Pricing is set at 7,920 yen for the PlayStation 5, Switch, and PC versions. The Switch 2 version will cost slightly more at 8,070 yen and will be available as a digital-only release.

Players who own the game on Switch can upgrade to the Switch 2 version for 150 yen through an “Upgrade Pack,” available to both physical and digital Switch owners. For those interested in the western release, a Falcom representative confirmed to Gematsu that a launch in North America and Europe is in the works. A release date is currently being worked out with a partner, and an official announcement will come once that date is locked in.

A Limited Edition will be available for PlayStation 5, Switch, and PC. Here’s everything included:

• A copy of the game — physical for PS5 and Switch, or a Steam redemption code card for PC
• Kyoto Xanadu Original Soundtrack mini — a selection of songs from the game, including the theme song “Outer Sky” performed by in-game virtual singer LinoN
• Hirasaka Academy Action Card Complete Set — all 15 types of Action Cards from the game, modeled after the ones used in class at Hirasaka Academy, featuring characters Rei, Fuka, Kazuki, Sena, and Rurui
• DLC: Rei and Fuka Costumes “Hirasaka Komachi (Blue)” — a Limited Edition exclusive that changes Rei and Fuka into Japanese-style academy costumes
• Hirasaka Academy Wooden Engraved Coaster — a natural cedar coaster with the Hirasaka Academy school emblem engraved on it

  

Both physical and digital buyers who pre-order or purchase a first-print copy will receive a “Support Card LinoN” as a bonus. This card can be used during in-game classes at Hirasaka Academy to boost lesson effects and help train characters more efficiently. This item is only available through this bonus and cannot be obtained otherwise.
