Kaigaku Joins the Battle in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 This October

Aniplex and CyberConnect2 announced that Kaigaku will be the first DLC character coming to Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2. The fallen Thunder Breather joins the game on October 30, beginning a new phase of post-launch updates for the arena fighter.

Kaigaku Joins the Battle

Once Zenitsu Agatsuma’s mentor, Kaigaku has now embraced his demonic side. He fights using corrupted Thunder Breathing techniques that mix speed with brutal precision. Players can test his electrifying style in both Versus Mode and Online Battles.

Kaigaku will be available through the “Kaigaku Character Pack.” Players can buy it separately or get it as part of the “Infinity Castle – Part 1 Character Pass.” This pass includes Kaigaku and six more DLC fighters arriving in future updates. Each new addition will feature unique abilities, flashy finishers, and stylish animations inspired by the anime.

Expanding the Roster

Kaigaku is the first of seven new DLC characters planned for The Hinokami Chronicles 2. The Infinity Castle – Part 1 Character Pass will bring more characters from later arcs of Demon Slayer. These updates will add new team combinations, mechanics, and combat strategies, keeping the game fresh and exciting.

Furthermore, CyberConnect2 continues to support the title with frequent updates. The developers aim to keep the gameplay dynamic and appealing to both newcomers and long-time fans. Each DLC fighter brings new depth to the combat system while staying faithful to the anime’s emotional storytelling.

The sequel first launched on August 1 in Japan and August 5 in the West, featuring improved visuals, smoother combat, and an expanded roster.
