Climbed up to the top spot in both iOS and Android stores rapidly, Journey Frog (Tabikaeru 旅かえる) is a simple Japanese mobile game where you will be taking care of a frog that loves to travel. Those who have played the game should have noticed that there will be a visitor (Snail, Bee or Tortoise) stopping by your doorstep once in a while. You can give them food, then receive back three clover leaves or lottery tickets when they leave. As you may receive different amount of rewards according to the food you gave them, here is a Journey Frog guide on their food preferences to help you in getting better rewards!

The food you can give the visitors are the souvenirs your frog brought back during his journey (obtainable by visiting a certain area, you can increase the chance to visit a certain area using Province Tickets). The visitors’ preferences are classified into 4 category – Can’t eat anymore, Full, Looks happy and Very happy. Below is a list of how they respond according to the food given:

Snail

Can’t eat anymore: Chestnut, Tea Leaves

Full: Five Colour Beans, Uirō, Strawberry, Banana, Karukan, Peach, Water, Orange, Apple, Mango, Persimmon, Senbei, Southern Pancake, Oita Local Cuisine, Tile Pancakes

Looks happy: Scallions, Garlic, Red Peppers, Onion, Cabbage, Gohei Mochi, Baked Buns, Akita Rice Stick

Very happy: Cheese, Onsen Manju, Milk, Rice

Bee

Can’t eat anymore: Oita Local Cuisine, Red Peppers, Southern Pancake, Cabbage, Garlic, Gohei Mochi, Scallions, Rice, Tea Leaves, Chestnuts, Milk, Senbei, Onion

Full: Unknown
