Skybound Entertainment, the company behind some of the highly popular comic books, has launched a crowdfunding campaign for the development and marketing of an Invincible AAA game.
The crowdfunding campaign for the Invincible AAA game is currently happening on the investment platform Republic and is running until April 29, 2024.
The current minimum goal for the project is $50,000, and the maximum is $5 million. As of writing, the crowdfunding campaign has already secured over $440,000.
The Invincible game will be handled by industry veterans from Electronic Arts, Activision Blizzard, and Amazon Games in a new in-house studio, according to the crowdfunding campaign page.
“We are thrilled to launch this Regulation Crowdfunding campaign on Republic, inviting fans to join us on this new expansion and venture,” said Skybound Entertainment CEO David Alpert.
“At Skybound, we prioritize fostering meaningful connections with our audience, and this initiative allows fans to not only immerse themselves in the world of Invincible but also to directly contribute to its expansion.”
If you are somehow living under a rock, Invincible took the world by storm with a TV series on Amazon Prime Video in 2021, and its second season was recently released with a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The franchise was created by Robert Kirkman, the famed comic book writer who also created The Walking Dead series, and follows a violent mature superhero story of Mark Grayson trying to follow the guidance of his father Omni-Man, the strongest hero on the planet.
The TV series features an all-star voice cast of Steven Yeun, J.K. Simmons, Sandra Oh, Clancy Brown, Seth Rogen, and other famous actors in Hollywood.
