Tech brand Infinix announced that it is officially launching the NOTE 40 Series 5G Racing Edition smartphone in collaboration with BMW Designworks in Malaysia.

This partnership will merge Infinix’s technology with BMW Designworks’ aesthetic designs and will come in 2 different models – the NOTE 50 5G and the NOTE 40 Pro 5G.

Fusion of BMW and Infinix 

The NOTE 40 Series 5G Racing Edition showcases an exclusive Wings of Speed design with intricate detailing to the phone. Utilizing advanced UV transfer printing, the device features smooth, streamlined lines that are said to enhance grip and create subtle shadows under different lighting conditions. The phone is also crafted with premium composite materials, boasting a glossy finish that remains lightweight. 

The device comes in a silver color with a metallic sheen, complemented by tri-color racing symbols near the camera lens. Furthermore, the Racing Edition phone will have exclusive wallpapers and a UI inspired by racetrack.

For specs, the NOTE 40 Pro 5G offers a storage space of 256 GB built-in, paired with 8GB of RAM that can extend up to 16 GB. Meanwhile, the NOTE 40 5G boasts 512 GB built-in storage and 12 GB RAM, expandable up to 24GB with Extended RAM capabilities.

Moreover, the Racing Edition devices come with All-Round FastCharge 2.0 technology, which offers 45W fast charging and 20W wireless MagCharge capabilities for its NOTE 40 Pro 5G variant and 33W fast charging and 15W wireless MagCharge for its NOTE 40 5G. Powered by the Infinix Cheetah X1, Infinix claims that these devices can charge up to 50% in just 31 minutes using the Hyper Mode FastCharge. In terms of its core, the NOTE 40 series is equipped with the Dimensity 5G 7020 processor.

Display, Audio, and Camera

Display wise, the NOTE 40 Pro 5G features a 3D-Curved AMOLED display with 1080p resolution, 10 Bit Colour Depth and 1300 nit peak brightness, advanced 2160Hz PWM Dimming, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and is TÜV Rheinland Certified for low blue light. 

On the other hand, the NOTE 40 5G comes with an AMOLED display with 1080P resolution and 10 Bit Colour Depth,  peak brightness of 1300 nits, and an ultra-responsive 1500 Hz Instant Touch Sampling Rate, as well as a 120Hz in-display fingerprint sensor and TÜV Rheinland Certified for low blue light. 

Both the NOTE 40 Pro 5G and NOTE 40 5G Racing Edition are equipped with dual speakers powered by JBL. For cameras, the NOTE 40 Series 5G Racing Edition stands out with advanced rear camera systems. The NOTE 40 Pro 5G features a 108MP sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), while the NOTE 40 5G boasts a 108MP autofocus (AF) camera.

Collaboration with Sharina Richie, Professional Drifter

The Infinix NOTE 40 Series 5G Racing Edition is also collaborating with Sharina Richie, a Malaysian professional drifter, businesswoman, and social media influencer. “This collaboration marks a fusion of style, innovation, and speed. Sharina combines her unique creativity and adrenaline drive with the NOTE 40 Series 5G Racing Edition on her BMW E36, showcasing the design elements of the NOTE 40 Series 5G Racing Edition on her vehicle. Motorsport fans were able to witness the sporty vehicle at the official launch event in Malaysia.”
