Indonesia Game Developer Exchange 2024 Set to Showcase Regional Game Industry

The annual Indonesia Game Developer Exchange (IGDX) is gearing up for its 2024 edition, scheduled to take place from October 10 to 12 at The Stones Hotel, Bali, Indonesia. This event, organized by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics in collaboration with the Indonesian Game Association (AGI), aims to foster growth and collaboration within the Southeast Asian game development ecosystem.

IGDX 2024 will feature a diverse range of activities designed to support game developers and industry professionals. Attendees can look forward to the Indie Booth Showcase, providing a platform for independent developers to display their projects. The event will also host B2B Matchmaking sessions, facilitating business connections and potential partnerships.

Educational components include the Google Play Academy Study Jam offer valuable insights into development platforms and tools. For aspiring developers, the Nuon GameDev Pitch Battle Arena will provide an opportunity to present their ideas to industry experts. The IGDX Conference 2024 will round out the event, featuring talks and panel discussions from industry leaders. This segment aims to share knowledge and discuss emerging trends in game development.

Since its inception in 2019, IGDX has made significant strides in empowering the Indonesian game development scene. The initiative has supported over 100 game studios through mentoring programs and has attracted 300 international stakeholders to its B2B networking platform. These efforts have resulted in potential deals valued at more than USD 25 million.
