HUAWEI Mate 50 Series Launches in Malaysia Along With Price Announced

To commemorate the 10th anniversary milestone since the first inception of Mate series back in 2012, HUAWEI Malaysia has just announced the launch of the latest entry to the Mate line, the HUAWEI Mate 50 series along with its prices for the three variants.

From RM3,699 onwards, the three variants that are available for this product line are the HUAWEI Mate 50, HUAWEI Mate 50 Pro and the HUAWEI Mate 50 Pro Orange Vegan Leather.

The HUAWEI Mate 50 Series brandishes a symmetrical Space Ring Design which offers an intricate aesthetic for many to enjoy. The Mate 50 Series phones also carries an Ultra Aperture XMAGE Camera that boasts a 10-scale adjustable physical aperture. The phone also provides durability thanks to its “Kunlun Glass” which increases drop resistance by 10 times.

The Mate 50 Series have the new EMUI 13 operating system that offers a broad array of seamless smart services such as the SuperHub feature that allows seamless data and file transfer between apps and devices.

Crafted Quality and Classic Design

The HUAWEI Mate 50 Series makes use of the Clous de Paris step-patterned embossing design, showing off a new kind of ordered beauty. The Mate 50 Series comes with two different types of rear cover, glass and vegan leather. Silver and Black are the two colours available for the glass cover while the vegan leather only comes in Orange.

The aforementioned “Kunlun Glass” is verified by the five-star glass drop resistance certification from Switzerland’s SGS, making it the first models to achieve this certification. It also supports an IP68-rated water resistance of up to 6 metres underwater.

Ultra Aperture XMAGE Camera

Back in July 2022, HUAWEI had launched its own mobile imaging brand “XMAGE” with the goal of offering users a new shooting experience. Featuring the Ultra Aperture XMAGE Camera with 10-size adjustable physical aperture, the Mate 50 Series allows for smart adjusting to match the aperture size with the scene in Auto mode. While the Professional mode allows users to manually adjust the depth of field and degree of blur.

The Ultra Aperture Camera comes equipped with an F1.4 large aperture, as well as an XD Fusion Pro image engine. Along with Night Mode and Portrait Mode, the periscope telephoto camera is able to support a zoom range of up to 200x. The Mate 50 Series also supports macro video shooting and macro picture-in-picture (PIP) ti accurately convey scenes in motion.

Streamlined Interactions and Powerful Performance

Running on the new EMUI 13 OS, The HUAWEI Mate 50 Series also comes with SuperStorage that allows users to duplicate files and compress rarely-used apps which can preserve up to 20 GB of space (on a phone with 256 GB of ROM). Meanwhile SuperHub allows users to temporarily store images, documents and text, all while sharing  them in batches with easy transfers between apps and devices.

A Low-battery Emergency Mode is included into the Mate 50 Series, which activates once battery levels fall to 1%; whereby the SuperEnergy Boosting will enable the phone to extend standby time to three hours, or 12 minutes of call time. The Privacy Protection feature also automatically erases sensitive information such as location and time whenever the user shares images among other people.

Price and Release Date

The HUAWEI Mate 50 Series will be available for pre-orders starting from 3rd November till 11th November 2022 across all HUAWEI Experience Stores as well as HUAWEI’s official website along with the official Shopee and Lazada stores as well as other authorised HUAWEI Partner Stores.
