As Mariah Carey prepares to defrost and Padoru Saber begins her escape plan, it’s a popular time of year for anime conventions in Malaysia and Singapore- lots of big events are here to close out the quarter with cosplay, gaming and more.

Thankfully, the SEA convention scene has gotten incredibly populated, with multiple hot events that you can look forward to. Here’s a list of how you can spend the festive season embracing your otaku needs:

November features a bit of a lull- December’s the big month for events in Malaysia, so expect some smaller events taking place this month.That being said, Cos-Mic is absolutely the place to be for the Klang Valley fan looking for something to do this month, with all sorts of features including a Pokemon TCG Bootcamp.

On the other hand, Singapore’s big tentpole event, AFA, happens at the end of November- being the highlight of the month for those living in Singapore or with a means of travel.

While AFA might be the biggest event in Singapore, it’s far from the only- December sees two more big events taking place in the country, like Singapore Comic-Con.

Meanwhile, in Malaysia, December sees the arrival of Comic Fiesta- the marquee event of not only the month, but arguably the whole year.
