Fans won’t have to wait long for the end of the current season of Guilty Gear Strive, as they’ve announced the planned dates for DLC character 8 and DLC character 9.
While most DLC characters tend to be months apart, this doesn’t appear to be the case- today’s Developer’s Backyard reaffirmed that DLC character 8 would be out in April, while also announcing that Character 9 would be ready by May- only a month later.
“While DLC Character #8 was regrettably pushed back to Early April, our team is hard at work ensuring that DLC #9 will be ready on track for scheduled release in May”, the update reads.
Arc System Works has done something a little interesting, having teased DLC character #8 months in advance, as opposed to the surprise reveal for most of the characters.
The teaser included footage from the game’s Another Story episode, which revolved around the character Delilah- leading many to believe she would be joining the roster of Daredevils.
They’ve also confirmed they’d have a special demo featuring the new character at EVO Japan- which is where the character is expected to be revealed to the world.
“Tournament entry is not required to try out the demo build, so everyone in attendance is more than welcome to stop by and experience the hype in person”, they said.
This isn’t the first time they’ve released DLC characters for Guilty Gear Strive close to each other- Happy Chaos and Baiken were also released with a similar pattern.
