[Guide] Solo Leveling: Arise Player Weapons Tier List

With the release of Solo Leveling: Arise, we have prepared a tier list of player weapons equippable by Sung Jinwoo in the game to help decide what to pull or prioritize building.

As gold is relatively difficult to obtain in the early game, players are encourage to focus on building a specific set of hunters and weapons, so we hope that this tier list will help you decide on your plans for both early game and long-term goals.

Do note that while Jinwoo may be the only combatant on the field most of the time, the game does have have an elemental system where certain types of damage are more effective on specific enemies. Jinwoo will also have different styles of fighting depending on the type of weapon he has equipped. As such, different weapons may perform differently depending on the current composition and scenario.

The criteria for each ranking are as follows:

• S Tier – These characters are some of the best in the game, and generally excel at fulfilling their role in most scenarios and are highly recommended to build.
• A Tier – Excellent batch of characters, only falling slightly behind the S-tier units, and can play well in most content.
• B Tier – Still worth the investment and can be pretty solid in certain teams or circumstances.
• C Tier – Situational. May not be worth the investment due to limited usage.
• D Tier – Very situational. Not recommended unless under a specific scenario

Without further ado, here is the tier list and the justifications for why the weapons are ranked in their placements.

S
Demonic Plum Flower Sword	Even if you ignore the rest of its kit (which still performs incredibly well), it's weapon skill (after 3 uses) grants a whole 36% Critical Damage increase with infinite duration, making it an incredibly simple weapon with a ridiculous damage ceiling.
The Huntsman	Do you like break damage? Well this weapon deals a lot of it, really fast. And unlike some of the other weapons on this list, its passives synergize with all its attacks, instead of focusing on just its weapon skill.
Thetis’ Grimoire	Assuming you have the MP, it's a guaranteed freeze and interrupt every 25 seconds in its most basic form, and it can get so much better. It also does a lot of damage.
West Wind	Yes, that is an SR in the S tier, with potential DPS towering over even some SSR weapons. Given the size of most combat areas, it's surprisingly easy to pull off that whopping 70% bonus damage.
A
Baruka’s Dagger	The incarnation of *teleports behind you* "nothing personal kid", except the teleport is locked behind the first dupe. Even without it, it performs excellently in its backstabbing niche.
Burning Demon’s Grimoire	An overall solid kit with good numbers. Keep in mind that this weapon can and will drink your MP like it's in the middle of a heatwave, but repays it in solid damage at above 50% MP and a little bit of MP recovery below that threshold. Best suited for going up against large groups.
Demon King Longsword	The classic counter-focused weapon in almost every action gacha, it caters to a very specific playstyle, but rewards the effort with a solid chunk of damage and buffs.
Kasaka's Venom Fang	This weapon that you get just by going through the tutorial is surprisingly good, even into the midgame. Even if it's just 30%, it's still a potential to interrupt and thus negate damage. The poison also performs surprisingly well especially in drawn-out combat situations such as raids.
Moonshadow	It's main gimmick is building marker stacks on enemy targets and offloading massive amounts of burst damage. Perfect for single target fights, but barely loses to Demonic Plum Flower Sword in terms of both ease and overall damage.
Radiru Family’s Longbow	Stacking buffs over time to increase damage is nice, but it takes a while for this weapon to reach it's full potential. Thankfully it offsets that by having a decent amount of initial damage, making it a solid option for short battles and a potential monster in long ones.
Shadow Scythe	Sure, bringing this weapon means you will either need a healer or be very good at not taking damage, but it dishes out massive amounts of damage to enemies in exchange for Jinwoo's health. The range of its attacks also makes it an ideal choice for dealing with packs.
B
Black Hawk	This weapon is a notable outlier in this entire tier list as its damage scales with your skill as a player. If you're good at performing Extreme Evasions, this weapon increases Jinwoo's damage as well as reducing the cooldown of his QTE skills. If you feel like this weapon is underperforming, that's a literal skill issue.
Knight Killer	It's main gimmick is to build damage buffing stacks like like Radiru Family's Longbow, but making it less satisfying to use as the damage ramps up slower.
Lustrous Dragon Sword	It's nice, it's flashy, and it rewards you for keeping your health up. Sadly, its painfully mediocre until you get multiple dupes.
Orb of Avarice	On paper it might look like this weapon is shooting itself in the foot with its passives, but it also amplifies its own skill damage by a surprising amount.
Vulcan's Rage	It's honestly a pretty decent weapon that specializes in AoE damage. Unfortunately, it's also the weakest SSR weapon at the moment.
C
Demon Knight's Spear	A nice weapon if you like spamming the same skill multiple times in a row, but sadly falls off in terms of damage.
Orc's Broadsword	It's almost decent with good damage multipliers, but requires a lot of investment to get good numbers in practice.
D
Dragonscale Broadsword	It might have been better if it was in another game, but I don't think you can get much use out of a buff placed on the floor when you're the only person there.
Frostbite Falchion	I'll be honest, if you're considering this weapon for its freeze, you're better off using Kasaka's Venom Fang.
Rock Golem Hammer	An odd choice to put a defensive weapon on the main damage dealer, but I'm not judging. In all honesty a 40% Defense shield can come in clutch in very specific situations, but at that point you might as well learn to do Extreme Evasions instead.

Hopefully, this tier list can help you plan ahead efficiently on which player weapons to spend resources on or who to target when pulling. However, as with any gacha game, we recommend you invest based on your own preferred playstyle rather than blindly following the meta.
