[ Guide ] Atelier Resleriana – Character Tier List

The wish has been granted and Atelier Resleriana has opened its door to welcome global players, here we have prepared a tier list ranking each character in terms of performance.

Since its release in Japan, Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator has proven to be quite a successful title and features many beloved characters from across the Atelier franchise.

Do note that Atelier Resleriana emphasizes team building and strategy so characters may perform differently depending on the current composition and scenario. Atelier Resleriana also categorized their characters into different roles for this tier list, we will so place them into their respective roles.

Character Role(s):

Attacker – A role specialized in whittling down enemies’ HP with high ATK.
Breaker – Characters who specialized in cutting down enemies’ Stun Gauge to delay their turn and enhance damage dealt to them.
Defender – Characters who excel at protecting allies and have high HP and DEF.
Supporter – A role specialized in healing and bolstering allies, though possesses lower ATK.

Also, take note that the tier list is based on early impressions of the game, so a character’s placement and strength may differ in the future when more content drops.

The criteria for each ranking are as follows:

Rating(s):

S Tier – These characters are some of the best in the game, and generally excel at fulfilling their role in most scenarios and are highly recommended to build.
A Tier – Excellent batch of characters, only falling slightly behind the S-tier units, and can play well in most content.
B Tier – Still worth the investment and can be pretty solid in certain teams or circumstances.
C Tier – Situational. May not be worth the investment due to limited usage.
D Tier – Very situational. Not recommended unless under a specific scenario.

Without further ado, here is the tier list and the justifications for why characters are ranked in their placements.

S
Attacker
Ryza		She is arguably one of the most popular characters in the entire Atelier franchise, so of course, she is going to be one of the best units. Not only is she packing a bakery, but she also can unleash a stupid amount of damage.

Valeria (Seekers of Past Dreams)		One of the main characters of the game, thus no surprise that she is on S-Tier. She has reliance damage-boosting skills and a great critical rate, making her useful in most scenarios. Not to mention that she is free.

Breaker
Corneria		She hits fast and hits hard, thus breaking enemies fast. Not only is she able to inflict potent [Blunt RES] but also further boosts her own [Break Damage] substantially.

Supporter
Ayesha		Heals, lots of heals.

Resna (Innocent Dreamer)		Of course, the main character is going to claim the throne as one of the best supporters in the game. Not only does she heal, but she also bolsters her allies’ [Critical Chance] and [Critical Damage], making her amazing in critical-focused teams


A
Attacker
Firis		Extremely versatile attacker who can unleash disgusting amounts of damage thanks to a +20% damage boost on attribute advantage. Furthermore, she can also delay an enemy’s turn by 1 by attacking them when they have 50% HP or more.

Logy		Powerful attacker with a tremendous damage boost when against vulnerable enemies, making him great with other equally great breakers.

Resna (Seekers of Past Dreams)		Default free starter, who has a surprisingly decent kit.

Valeria (Secret Amnesia)		Like her Seekers of Past Dreams variant, she has great damage output and can be a monster with the right setup.

Breaker
Marion		Extremely balanced breaker who has substantial [Break Damage] on attribute advantage and can inflict [Pierce RES-20%] on her targets.

Shallistera		Not only is she proficient in her role as a breaker, but she can also inflict [Received Damage] debuff on enemies, making her versatile at supporting any allies.

Defender
Judie		Not only is she proficient in her role as a breaker, but she can also inflict [Received Damage] debuff on enemies, making her versatile at supporting any allies.

Linca		If you need a Magic defender, Linca is your gal. Despite her lack of offensive impact, she excels terrifically at protecting allies from Magic.

Supporter
Meruru		A respectable supporter who has a great balance of offensive and defensive capabilities. She can inflict [Received Damage +10%] debuff on enemies while also providing sustainability to the team with [Received Damage -20%] on allies.


B
Attacker
Odelia		While she does not have the same level of burst damage as other attackers, she offers a good amount of debuffs that amplify damage dealt to her enemies, making a good attacker-supporter hybrid.

Rorona		A great Ice attacker and a valuable character to have. Despite being an attacker, she possesses self-sustaining abilities with substantial self-healing.

Ruven		Solid Slash attacker but his effectiveness greatly depends on the enemy matchup.

Vayne		He can be very strong under the right circumstances but to do so, he is required to be in very low health, making him tough to utilize well.

Breaker
Marie		He can be very strong under the right circumstances but to do so, he is required to be in very low health, making him tough to utilize well.

Keithgriff		A breaker with a kit focuses on both Fire and Ice. Can be difficult to utilize in most situations but does his job well, especially at weakening enemies’ resistances against Fire and Ice.

Defender
Monika		Relies too heavily on Evasion, which can already be hard to utilize. Moreover, she does not grant much support to the team aside from a small Physical Defense boost to allies.

Supporter
Iksel		A balance of offense and support. Iksel can apply [Burn] while also boosting allies’ [Magic Attack] and [Fire Skill Damage], making him great for Fire and Magic-focused teams.

Totori		A decent supporter who has a kit that combines personal survivability and team support, making herself take less physical damage while also being able to recover allies from Abnormal Status.


C
Attacker
Cordelia		The Aristocrat’s Daughter finds herself in C-Tier as she relies way too heavily on inflicting [POISON] but lacks consistency, especially against bosses who may be resistant to ailments.

Esty		While she can increase her Skill Damage through pre-attack buffs, she relies too heavily on Skill damage and is quickly overshadowed by other attackers in the game.

Mu		Mu’s effectiveness varies greatly depending on the enemies faced. She can be good in multi-target scenarios but also suffers from single-target.

Viorate		An okay Ice character, but suffers from a hard condition of needing enemies at low HP for good damage output.

Breaker
Escha		A potent Wind breaker who synergizes particularly well with Logy and can enhance the entire party’s Magic Attack. However, her focus on a single element also means that she will not be great for all enemies.

Defender
Lent		He’s decent but his buffs can be a little short. While a good candidate against Physical damage in early games, other defenders are recommended.

Oskar		I mean he’s alright, like… other defender just does better than him. That said, he does have decent self-sustain with his self-heals.

Raze		He’s quite an effective Physical breaker but Magic is far more favorable at the moment.

Supporter
Tao		Can be very inconsistent due to his reliance on Abnormal Status conditions.

Tess		Tess excels in reducing enemies’ magic damage and that is about it.

Hopefully, this tier list can help you plan ahead efficiently on which characters to spend resources on or who to target when pulling. However, as with any gacha game, we recommend you invest in a character you like rather than blindly following meta.
