Take-Two Interactive Software has confirmed that marketing for Grand Theft Auto VI will begin this summer, ahead of the game’s planned November 19 release date. The announcement came during the company’s Q3 2026 earnings results. In a press release, Take-Two stated that fiscal 2027 “promises to be groundbreaking for Take-Two and the entire entertainment industry,” with Rockstar’s launch marketing campaign set to kick off in the coming months.
When asked about the game meeting its scheduled release date, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick expressed confidence in the timeline. “I feel good about it. Very good about it,” Zelnick said.
Zelnick also addressed circulating rumors about a potential delay for the physical version of Grand Theft Auto VI. Speaking with Variety, he confirmed that reports of a delayed physical release are inaccurate. “That’s not the plan,” he said.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to release on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with both digital and physical versions expected to launch simultaneously.

The game was originally announced with a 2025 release window before being delayed to May 2026, and then pushed again to its current November date. When announcing the latest delay in November 2025, Rockstar stated the extra months would allow the team to finish the game with the level of polish players expect and deserve.
