After a silhouette tease, Granblue Fantasy has finally announced that its October collaboration event will be with Gintama. You can see the original teaser through the game’s monthly news update here:
One of the popular guesses had been Lupin the 3rd, but of course, now that’s been disproven. The Gintama collaboration will be running in Granblue Fantasy starting 15 October, and should be available until towards the end of the month, as is typical. Players can also expect a 10-pull draw ticket from the treasure trade, among the surely ridiculous event summon, weapon and whatever SSR character that will be offered. The silhouette might suggest a duo or triple unit, not something unusual for the game at this stage.
Doubtless the titular Gintoki Sakata would be appearing with his wacky compatriots in some form. With only a week to go till the event actually begins, fans should be able to expect daily reveals regarding the cast besides the goodies you’ll be getting. Looks like we’re coming full circle now, and expect plenty of out of context panels as the worlds collide. Collaboration characters recently have all been SSR rarity, so if there’s going to be more than one playable unit, you can expect as much.
