The Game Awards 2018 has ended with the lion’s share of the awards going to God of War and Red Dead Redemption.

The Game of the Year award was the most highly anticipated award of the night due to the huge popularity of the nominated games. In the end, God of War trumped the competition and claimed the prized award. It lived up to high expectations with great gameplay, an engaging story and great artwork. In addition, the game received Best Game Direction and Best Action Adventure Game awards as well.

On the other hand, Red Dead Redemption 2 proved to be too strong for other competitors in other departments. They ended the night with 4 awards to their tally, beating God of War’s total, including Best Narrative and Best Score.
