Garena has officially announced Palworld Online, a new mobile game based on the popular survival title Palworld. The game is being developed under license from Pocketpair, the original creators of Palworld, and is described as a large-scale multiplayer survival adventure. It is set to launch on iOS and Android in 2026.
According to Garena, Palworld Online is being developed and published entirely by Garena. While it keeps the general idea of surviving and collecting creatures known as Pals, the mobile version will introduce a new setting with original story elements not found in the PC game. It will also grow into a full massively multiplayer online, or MMO, experience, with a connected open world that players can explore together at any time.

Garena president Terry Zhao explained that Palworld is a widely recognized brand, and the team sees a chance to bring the spirit of the PC game to mobile devices in a way that gets players connecting and exploring together. He added that Garena is working closely with Pocketpair to keep the depth, immersion, and freedom that made Palworld popular, while adjusting the experience to suit mobile play.
Pocketpair CEO Takuro Mizobe also spoke about the partnership, noting that Garena brings a lot of experience in publishing, localizing, and running mobile games on a global scale. He said Pocketpair is glad to work with Garena on this licensed version of the game and is looking forward to giving players around the world a new way to experience Palworld.

Since the game is built for mobile, Garena says it has designed the controls and interface specifically with phones in mind. This includes a simplified, touch-based layout and optional one-tap controls, aimed at making tasks like planning, building, moving, and managing Pals easier to handle on a smaller screen. Garena states that this is meant to work across a wide range of phone models without cutting back on the game’s depth.
With Palworld Online still in development, more information about release dates, gameplay details, and regional availability is expected to be shared as 2026 approaches.
